As a development coordinator, you will drive, plan, and coordinate quality, development, and change work for the organization. In your role at the new meeting place, you will also coach and guide young visitors in their cultural interests. You will work publicly by staffing the organization and planning and executing relevant events and workshops for and with young people and young adults. Administrative tasks will also be part of your work.

The job involves collaboration with Malmö's youth and young adults as well as colleagues or actors within and outside Malmö city. During the first two years, the work will be conducted in project form using investigative and inclusive methodologies. The goal is for visitors, focusing on Malmö's youth and young adults, to be involved in shaping and operating the organization.

As a development coordinator at the new meeting place in Hyllie, you will be part of Cultural Events and Meeting Places, a department that has the privilege of working closely and often together with the residents of Malmö.

The work mainly involves evening and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a university degree equivalent to a bachelor's degree (180 credits) in art and/or culture, or another direction that the employer finds relevant for the assignment. You have at least 4 years of experience in areas such as:

• Working with youth and young adults in co-creative processes
• Initiating, planning, and driving development projects
• Fundraising (project financing)
• Leading, planning, and executing events

You have knowledge of creative education and networks, as well as good skills in Swedish, both spoken and written. It is an advantage if you have knowledge of any of Malmö's major languages.

As a person, we are looking for someone who is flexible, goal- and results-oriented, and independent but can easily work in a team. You are analytical, creative, and have the ability to see the big picture and consider the broader perspective. You have good pedagogical insight and cultural awareness, as well as an interest in working with the target group of youth and young adults.

About the Workplace

At the Cultural Administration's new meeting place in Hyllie, Work In Progress, together with the Dawit Isaak Library and their freedom of expression center, as well as the Hyllie Library, will open a new meeting place for everyone, focusing on the target group aged 16-25. WIP is a cultural meeting place that targets specific initiatives for 16-25-year-olds who want to develop their creativity and artistic practice. Here, the target group can receive support and assistance with everything from applications to artistic education and scholarships, expand their network, create events and arrangements, seek project funding, and receive advice specifically for working cultural actors and other initiatives identified by the target group over time.

At Work In Progress, all young people in Malmö aged 16 to 25 can hang out, meet, develop, shape, and participate in culture. A place where something creative is always happening, but where there is also room for a carefree existence in a beautiful and creative environment. WIP will open in Hyllie in the summer/fall of 2025.

The joint work of the three departments to create this new organization will be based on a testing and experimental approach. This applies both to content and offerings, as well as to how the organization can be best organized internally to meet the needs presented. The organization will be evaluated after two years of operation together with the employees, to then establish the organization and its affiliation for the future.
